The clock tower, which was built in 1890 by
architect Sarkis Balyan with the order of Sultan Abdulhamit, and
which was placed in front of the gate, is 27 m. tall and has 4
floors. Its floor is marble, and the upper part is built by the
stone blocks.. At its four sides, there are French Paul Gamier
clocks and the royal emblems of the Ottoman Empire. |
