Tour Itinerary
Pick up at the hotel. We drive to the
Golden Horn to take a stroll
through the atmospheric old streets in the Jewish quarter of
Balat, where many Jewish immigrants settled to help repopulate
the city in the Ottoman era. We visit
Ahrida Synagogue located in one of the narrow streets
of Balat. then we drive to the district of
Galata, a Jewish neighborhood for centuries with
many synagogues and bustling street life. We visit the
Ashkenazi Synagogue, which
serves the community of European Jews. We arrive at
Galata Tower, which was the
highest point to watch the surroundings, built by the Genovese
and used in the Roman and Ottoman era. Then we will visit the
Neve Shalom Synagogue, the
largest modern synagogue where the Jewish wedding ceremonies and
the Jewish community celebrations are held today. Later in the
afternoon,we taka a stroll in Beyoglu
and Pera district. On the way, we see the old western
buildings in Baroc and Rocoko style, nice modern cafes and
restaurants in the district and witness the daily life of the
people in the modern city center surrounded with the
architectural edifices .Then drop off the hotel.
