It was constructed in 375 with the order of
Roman Emperor Valens. Before Valens, another aqueduct is
estimated to have existed at the same place.
The aqueduct was repaired in the 6th century
with the order of Justinian, in the 8th century with the order
of Constantine and in the 11th century with the order of
Basileus.
It was constructed between the 3rd of 4th
